The Steam Museum
Yesterday, Amazon Class launched their 'Brilliant Brunel' topic by visiting the Steam Museum in Swindon. We had a fantastic time learning about Isambard Kingdom Brunel and friends, life on the railways and in the factory, and how the first steam trains were made and operated.
Did you know, Brunel wore a tall hat to make himself feel taller and more important? We learnt so many interesting facts and insights into this period in history and can't wait to use what we have learnt back in the classroom.
