Great Fire of London artwork
Our art focus this term has been linked to our topic; The Great Fire of London. First we explored various pieces of artwork that depicted the blaze; discussing what we could see, the colour, tones and shades. We explored how to change the shade of colours, making them lighter and darker.
We experimented with watercolours, pastels, chalks and other materials to create our fiery backgrounds. We used charcoal, wax and string printing to create our rows of Tudor homes. The final stage of our art project was to collate our works of art, creating our 1666 London streets.
We hope you enjoy our gallery.
